I remember when they restored the Washington Ave bridge. I didn’t think I would ever get used to it being a two way traffic bridge! It looks beautiful! I like that it has pedestrian walkways and I love the plaques! I used to travel this bridge every weekday as part of my job. As they continue to revitalize East Waco and Elm St. I hope that they preserve the buildings as mush as possible. Without those buildings, history will be lost forever! There are very old murals on some of those buildings and I really hope they can preserve them for many generations to come so they can see it’s history and charm.
